Vote 2023 – Why Local Elections Matter
We have the privilege and responsibility of participating in local elections. While it may be easy to overlook local elections in favor of national ones, it’s important to recognize the impact that local elected officials have on our day-to-day lives. On the ballot for our current election, you will find four City Council seats, three Plano ISD School Board seats, and three Collin College Board Positions. Each of these positions is critical to the growth and development of our community. The City Council seats will determine who makes important decisions about the city’s budget, infrastructure, public safety, and economic development. The School Board seats will determine who sets policy and makes important decisions about our children’s and adult education. Here are a few reasons why you should vote in local elections:
