The Plano Chamber would like to welcome and spotlight member, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill. Heather Wagemann, our Director of Development, asked General Manager, Brandon Emmons, a few questions about their business, Chamber membership, and their team’s favorite local spot in the community.

1. What’s your favorite part about the work you do?

My favorite part about working for an innovative, growing brand like Firebirds is the opportunity for learning and development, for both me and my team, that’s created by Firebirds’ growing footprint. I’m a people-person, motivated by creating extraordinary experiences for both team members and guests when they choose to dine at or work for Firebirds. And… The easy access to our mouthwatering Baja Shrimp Pasta is a plus too!

2. How has being a Chamber member positively impacted your business and community involvement?

Belonging to the Chamber gives us access to a network of other local businesses and members of this growing community that we wouldn’t have otherwise. It opens the door for networking opportunities, collaboration and a group of people who are dedicated to building an even greater Plano.

3. What goals do you have for your business in the coming year?

We’ve got some lofty goals as an organization, but the main goal is to create extraordinary experiences through hospitality here in Plano. I’m so proud every time a new guest comes into Firebirds and is blown away by our wood-fired flavors and our team’s dedication to service and excellence. I’m also excited that we’re opening another Firebirds down the road in Grapevine in late February. I’m excited to introduce our concept to even more folks in DFW!

4. Share a favorite local spot or hidden gem you love in the community.

Legacy West is a great place that my family likes to go to do a little shopping, eating and overall have a great time walking around outside for plenty of exercise and other activities.
