FEDERAL
- House Democrats expect to unveil their draft of a fifth relief bill early this week, dubbed the CARES Act 2. With an expected price tag of more than $2.2 trillion, and Republicans signaling they would prefer to wait a few more weeks before passing what could be the final major relief bill, Congress is set for a showdown over this legislation.

- As outlined by The Statesman, Texas is showing some promising signs in some metrics in its fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
- The Texas Rainy Day Fund, a treasured savings account for the state, will be a key focus in the upcoming legislative session in January.

- The City of Plano reported a 5% drop in sales tax revenue for the month of March.
- Plano ISD announced its plans to celebrate graduates of Class of 2020 through virtual celebrations and a variety of other online events and options.
- The City of Dallas announced furloughs for 500 employees on Friday.
