In the ever-changing landscape of business and entrepreneurship, the Plano Chamber of Commerce works every day to contribute to the economic growth of our region. As our members continue to rise and succeed, so will the communities in which they serve. Follow along as we turn our spotlight towards the beating pulse of our community‚ the dedicated members of the Plano Chamber of Commerce. Through these spotlights, we invite you to journey with us beyond the storefronts and corporate logos, uncovering the passion, determination, and innovation that drive our local businesses forward. Together, let’s discover the stories of collaboration and community impact that fuel the engine of our local economy.

The Plano Chamber would like to welcome and spotlight member, Quartino Ristorante & Wine Bar. Heather Wagemann, our Director of Development, asked Rachel Herrington, Private Dining Sales & Events Manager, a few questions about their business, Chamber membership, and their team’s favorite local spot in the community.

1. What’s your favorite part about the work you do?

I love people! The hospitality industry is an incredible space to work in, especially in private dining.  I love getting to know my customers as they plan the special events in their lives.  Whether it’s a graduation, anniversary party, or corporate luncheon, I enjoy working with my clients from start to finish for a successful event!

2. How has being a Chamber member positively impacted your business and community involvement?

Quartino is a restaurant brand that is a part of Gibsons Group, a Chicago based family restaurant group. Our team felt that it was essential to get to know the community once we opened.  Being a part of the Chamber has helped us to meet residents and other business owners in the area.  We appreciate how welcoming and helpful the chamber has been to us!

3. What goals do you have for your business in the coming year?

We hope to build brand awareness for Quartino within The Colony, Plano, and Frisco communities in the coming year.  We just launched our subscription-based wine club that offers customers access to unique and rare wines from exclusive boutique wineries not easily found in regular retail stores at a substantial value. Customers can come to the restaurant once a month to pick up their wines and enjoy them over an authentic Italian dinner.  Quartino’s menu features small Italian shared plates that focus on regional specialties made in-house, offering a wide variety of artisanal salumi, cheeses, Neapolitan-style pizza, pasta, risotto and seafood.

4. Share a favorite local spot or hidden gem you love in the community.

The Grotto at Grandscape is full of hidden gems. We frequent Red Phone Booth, a 1920s themed speakeasy and cigar bar. We also love the weekend brunch at Bellagreen in Plano!
