Member Spotlight: Camille Borg Law PLLC

The Plano Chamber membership team is thrilled to present our NEW monthly Member Spotlights! Each month, we will be highlighting different Plano Chamber of Commerce members to continue connecting our members with each other and the Plano community at large.

The Plano Chamber would like to welcome and spotlight a proud eight year member, Camille Borg Law PLLC. Heather Wagemann, our Membership Engagement Manager, asked Camille Borg Law’s Founding Attorney, Camille Borg, a few questions about their business, membership, and their role in the community.

1. What would you like readers to know about Camille Borg Law PLLC and what you specialize in?

Camille Borg Law PLLC is a woman owned and operated two-attorney family law firm with a narrow focus of helping individuals and families navigate the legal process of divorce, custody, child support, adoption, and parent defense during a Child Protective Services investigation. In addition to practicing law, Camille Borg and Carissa Crews are trained mediators and offer mediation services. While the litigation attorneys zealously represent clients in court if needed, our philosophy is to help minimize the trauma that one incurs during a lawsuit by helping the client find resolutions outside of court. The firm motto is “Hope. Heal. Thrive.” We give hope to hopeless individuals in challenging legal situations by educating clients and advising on how the law can help them out of their predicament. We protect our clients and help generate a safe space for them to heal. Eventually, we send our client on to thrive.

2. Why did you choose to join the Plano Chamber of Commerce?

I became a Plano Chamber of Commerce member concurrently with beginning my business back in 2014 and have maintained my membership since. I have enjoyed being an active member of the Business Interchange networking meeting on Friday mornings, which has helped me make many friendships and connections that have helped me in my business. I have had the honor of receiving referrals from Chamber members which has helped grow my business and impacted my career progress.

3. Tell us about your involvement in the community.

Our firm donates time, services, and money to both legal and non-legal non-profits in Collin County. Our attorneys do pro bono legal work for financially disadvantaged folks needing help. We offer flexible limited scope representation to give people access to justice. We also have a passion for assisting victims of domestic violence and homelessness.

4. What part of your work environment is your favorite?

Take advantage of the networking opportunities, even if your job does not require networking to get business. The Chamber members are the cream of the crop of the community, and the connections you make will bring you friendship and support in times you may otherwise have wanted to give up. Your clients will value your vast knowledge of the community and the best companies within it.
