1. What first made you interested in participating in Leadership Plano?

Our law firm opened an office in Collin County in 2014 and everyone was encouraged to became involved in the community.  I joined Women’s Division of the Plano Chamber and wanted to learn more about the Plano Community.  Leadership Plano was a perfect way to learn more about the community and meet community leaders.

2. What is the most memorable part of your experience (or what is something that was happening in Plano that you remember about that year)?

I remember most vividly the excellent people in the class.  I also fondly recall our retreat, ropes course and SIMSOC.

3. Why do you think LP is so impactful for our community?

It allows individuals to connect with each segment of our city resulting in greater understanding, pride, and community connection.

4. What is one thing you can attribute to LP that is a success in your life or career?

Leadership Plano caused me to spend more time in the community resulting in some of my favorite experiences including work with the Plano Chamber of Commerce.

5. Why was your class the “Best Class Ever”?

Our class was phenomenal with so many excellent leaders including many who have made great community contributions.  Just a few of our fabulous class included: Sara Bonser (former Plano ISD Superintendent), Rebecca Egleston-Caso ( Distinguished Alumnae ), Ben Harris (former city council representative), Jessica Jackson (Plano Balloon Festival), Camille Ussery (Plano Chamber Board Chair) and many other accomplished servant leaders such as-Lynne Gerlach, Don High, Marty Murph Higgins, Susie Vaughn, and Karla Oliver.
