FEDERAL
- Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has signaled he thinks another relief package is likely to pass within the next month. What that bill looks like remains to be seen as Republicans indicate that the Democrats’ version, known as the HEROES Act, is unlikely to pass in its current form.

STATE:
- Governor Abbott continues to open up new industries and businesses as Texas works its way through Phase II of reopening.
- The legal and political debates continue over the use of mail-in-ballots in upcoming Texas elections as some push for expanded access, and others fear election integrity could be compromised.

REGIONAL/LOCAL:
- Plano ISD is creating multiple contingency plans for schools this fall, including a full return, if possible, or virtual learning. The district is awaiting further guidance from the Texas Education Agency before determining a final plan.
- Recent estimates show an average property value increase of 4.53% throughout Collin County, which is nearly half of last year’s 8% growth.
