LOCAL UPDATE
- The City of Plano shared the below permit guidelines for food establishment and businesses selling alcohol. The City’s complete list of current orders, protocols, and guidelines can be found HERE.
- Food establishments with an active annual permit that made the choice to close during this time rather than offer take-out or delivery, etc. can reopen without any issue as long as it is the same owner/operation. If they choose to sell the business, the new owner would need to obtain a permit at that point. This would likely require an inspection and/or plan review. Environmental Health Services fees will be waived.
- Businesses selling alcohol with an active permit can reopen with the same owner. If there is a new owner, the City typically provides 3 day or less turn around for a permit. Permit fees will be waived.
