STATE

  • Statewide sales tax revenues are falling and unemployment rates are rising. The economic impact from the pandemic is expected to create a multi-billion dollar shortfall in the state’s current two-year budget, according the Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.
  • Runoffs for the Democratic candidate State Representative of District 67 will be held Tuesday, July 14th. Early voting begins Monday, June 29th and continues through Friday, July 10th. If you are not already registered, Monday, June 15th is the last day to register to vote. Not sure if you’re registered? You can check on the Texas Secretary of State’s website.
