Education
Partner with educational institutions to better serve all members of the business community in areas of business/industry training, customer service training.
Ambassadors' Club Strengthen overall relationship with members by assisting with chamber events and creating awareness of chamber benefits. (Meets second Fridays, 11:45 a.m. at the chamber.)
Public Policy Present issues through regular meetings and the electronic newsletter that affect business and, with board authorization, encourages chamber members to participate in elections and support pro-business legislation. (Meets first Tuesday of the Month (no March meeting). All meetings will be at the Plano Chamber of Commerce at 7:30 AM unless otherwise noted.)
Business Development The Business Development Committee supports all members in growing their businesses by providing education and networking opportunities." Hosts monthly Success In Business (SIB) Seminars from 11:30 until 1:00 the fourth Wednesday of each month.
Women's Division An organization of civic-minded business women and men dedicated to enhance the quality of life in Plano through monthly luncheons, networking opportunities, and support of community projects.
Business Interchange A weekly networking opportunity for Chamber members, their guests or prospective members, to present a 30-second “commercial” about their business to the other attendees. This weekly meeting begins at 7:30 AM and meets at the Chamber office unless there are special circumstances. The cost is $1.00 to attend but 1st time guests get in free. There are usually between 80 and 100 people in attendance representing all types of businesses.
Young Professionals of Plano
Establish membership criteria, benefits, and fees for the Young Professionals of Plano organization. Continue to publicize awareness of organization for membership recruitment, program attendance, and committee participation. Young Professionals of Plano (YPP) is targeted for area business professionals between the ages of 21 to 45.
