Plano First is a quarterly series of luncheon meetings focused on issues vital to Plano-area businesses. Meetings are targeted toward business executives, small business owners, enterprising entrepreneurs and civic leaders from northern Texas. Held annually each spring, the Plano Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to get to know both fellow Chamber members and prospective members. The day on the greens features driving range practice, lunch, "shotgun" start, and an awards ceremony to conclude the day. The format is “best ball” for 120- 140 participants. An individual golf package includes golf cart, lunch, golf, and awards banquet.

In September of each year, the Plano Chamber of Commerce recognizes excellence among its members during the Best of Plano celebration. Honoring the year’s top Business Award recipients for their accomplishments and selfless contributions, the Chamber recognizes the area’s most enterprising businesses and most influential business leaders.

A weekly networking event, Business Interchange (BI) focuses on a singular goal to build personal and professional relationships with other members while exchanging leads, business tips and most importantly referrals. Held each Friday morning, the meeting begins with coffee at 7 a.m. followed by open networking, self-introduction by attendees, and a detailed presentation by a member on his business or service.

Held monthly at Chamber member business locations, these social gatherings are focused on connecting members with each other. Local businesses open their doors to these sponsored events which feature networking, food, activities and tours of the member business.

Power Networking is networking in a fast-paced, get down to business environment. Sometimes compared to “speed dating,” Power Networking focuses attention on each individual and on building professional relationships. Seated at tables of eight, attendees take part in 4-5 rounds of networking with each person giving a 1 minute commercial before moving to another table. Power Networking is held at the Plano Chamber office.

The Women’s Division is dedicated to enhancing the quality of business life in Plano through luncheons, networking opportunities and support of community projects. Luncheon meetings are held the second Wednesday of the month when approximately 80-100 women and men gather together networking and listening to a great speaker at Gleneagles Country Club.

Learn over lunch. The Success in Business (SIB) monthly speaker series offers attendees a focused development program to provide an insider’s view of specialized business topics and an opportunity to network with other involved Chamber members. These educational sessions are designed to help small to mid-sized companies gain a broader perspective of the training and skills necessary to run and improve their businesses. Held the 4th Wednesday of the month with approximately 50-60 Members, SIB meets at the Plano Chamber office.

The Young Professionals of Plano (YPP) actively provides opportunities and resources to maximize personal & professional growth through education, business development, networking, social and civic activities for the future of our community. YPP is the newest division of the Plano Chamber of Commerce and is targeted for young professionals between the ages of 25 to 40.
